Preparedness Fund
The Preparedness Fund was created by long time supporters of the American Red Cross Dayton Area Chapter to help provide for its long-range financial stability. The effort is aptly named as preparedness along with disaster prevention and response, describes our core mission. The Dayton Area Chapter has an obligation to provide these services into the future; collaboration with the renowned Dayton Foundation allows contributors to participate in meaningful ways.
Through the Preparedness Fund contributors pledge to ensure that the Dayton Area Chapter is financially prepared to provide: disaster preparedness and response; emergency communications for military families; health and safety training; and emergency housing for homeless families for future generations. You may also find that tax advantages can increase the value of your estate or create new income streams, enabling you to do more than you might have ever dreamed possible. Your gift can ensure that the mission of the Dayton Area Chapter will continue for your children and their community.
A planned, charitable gift may be made in a variety of ways including: Outright Gifts, Gift Annuities, Wills & Bequests, Insurance, Charitable Trusts and Retirement Funds. Each has a varied estate or income tax benefit that can result in a gift that is considerably larger than the after-tax costs to you.
